As we walk into Fintan’s studio located in Marrickville, we see a space filled with miscellaneous paraphernalia. A colourful artistic mess. The artist himself greets us with a genuine and warm smile. His firm handshake pleasingly indicates balanced confidence. Those two things already tell me a lot about Fintan’s personality and my first impressions have been underpinned in our chat. The greatness and exceptionalism of an artist lies primarily in his artwork, but in the rare cases when knowing one’s value and a humble attitude becomes intertwined, the experience of being around a creator is significantly beautified.
